How fast do you process orders?

Our service time is a high priority for us. Typically, in stock items for domestic orders will be processed within 2-4 business days. Our business days are Monday thru Friday except on national holidays.

For international orders our processing time may be slightly longer due to the extra time it takes to obtain competitive shipping quotes and communicate your delivery options. We always attempt to find the best rates for our international customers. More often than not, delivery via the USPS is the least expensive option. Please note that we only charge our actual shipping costs and DO NOT add any handling charges when shipping to our customers.

What are the shipping rates for the contiguous U.S?

Flat rate shipping applies to ground shipments only within the contiguous U.S. The shipping charge is based on the dollar value of your order after discounts. For flat rate shipping we will choose the carrier by which your order will be shipped.

Your shipping and handling charges (and any applicable taxes) will be displayed during checkout. Shipping rates and policies are subject to change without notice.

Do you offer Free Shipping?

Yes, free ground shipping applies to all orders with a subtotal over $69.99 (after coupons and discounts) within the contiguous U.S. only. For free rate shipping we will choose the carrier by which your order will be shipped.

Do you offer combined shipping between your sites?

GOOD NEWS!  We have now added our complete toy lines to the MakeYourOwnBirdToys.com website to make shopping easier for our customers who like to buy both toy parts and ready -to-go toys.  

Do you offer Expedited Shipping?

Yes, arrangements for expedited shipping can be made at an additional charge. Charges will be calculated by the carrier based on a combination of factors including package size, weight and shipping location. If you require expedited shipping service please place this request in the order comment section and email or call our office to confirm your request.

What are the international shipping rates?

All orders shipped anywhere other than the 48 contiguous United States are treated differently by the shipping carriers we use and are categorized as international orders. Our international order shipping policy is designed to keep shipping costs to the minimum. Here’s how we keep the shipping costs as low as possible:

1.      We receive an order to be shipped outside of the contiguous 48 United States

2.      We pull the order, pack it, and weigh it

3.      We contact the shipping carriers and tell them the size and weight of the order. They tell us how much they charge to ship it.

4.      We don’t add anything to the shipping quotes we receive – we simply email the options that the shipping carriers provide to the customer.

5.      The customer selects a shipping option and we charge the card on file for the shipping cost and send out your order

6.      For customers paying through PayPal, once the shipping selection is made, we send a payment request for the shipping costs. Once that is paid we ship your order.

7.      If a customer is ordering from us for the first time and the shipping cost makes the purchase unfeasible, we’re happy to cancel the order for a full refund.

8.                                8. The shipping quotes we receive are valid for one week only. If we don’t hear back from a customer within a week of emailing quotes, we may cancel the order.

Important updates to our international shipping policy effective October 2026:

·         We no longer offer the “pay by check” option. The order must be paid in full when placed.

·         We are not able change the order once it is packed. If shipping costs are high, we don’t offer the option to remove items, repack the order, and get new quotes.

·         We will never charge a restock fee to a customer who’s cancelling their first order due to shipping costs.

·         We reserve the right to charge a 10% restock fee, not to exceed $25, for customers with a history of placing large orders and cancelling and/or not responding to the email regarding shipping costs.

How long will it take to get my order?

Delivery times can vary depending on the chosen carrier. Typically, orders under two pounds ship via USPS and heavier orders ship via Fed Ex Ground. For free or flat rate shipping we will choose the carrier by which your order will be shipped.

USPS and FedEx ground deliveries are made Monday through Saturday.
